In the video, F.Yu. Fomin, consulting physician at Neurosoft, demonstrates how to place electrodes for recording a resting ECG in 12 standard leads in a child
Leads:
Leads I, II, and III are placed on the limbs:
- I — right arm to left arm
- II — right arm to left leg
- III — left arm to left leg
Chest leads:
- V1 — 4th intercostal space at the right edge of the sternum
- V2 — 4th intercostal space at the left edge of the sternum
- V3 — midway between V2 and V4
- V4 — 5th intercostal space along the midclavicular line
- V5 — at the intersection of the horizontal level of V4 and the anterior axillary line
- V6 — at the intersection of the horizontal level of V4 and the midaxillary line
The Poly-Spectrum-8/E electrocardiograph by Neurosoft fully complies with the guideline requirements and is ideally suited for recording resting ECGs.
